Working on assignment has become a significant part of my life as a photographer for years. The evolution of my skill set has given me the opportunity to shoot in varied situations in all types of environments while working with others to achieve a common goal…compelling, relevant images. From capturing proper portraits on deadlines to shooting in helicopters and small planes in places like Hawaii and Alaska, I’ve had a wealth of experience to learn from in my 25 years as a photographer. I won the Society of Professional Journalists’ Award for ‘Best Magazine Photo Package’ in Louisville. My 30 years of backcountry, wilderness travels have taken me backpacking all over the Western Hemisphere from Southern Patagonia to Alaska shooting in the most challenging conditions. As a Native Kentuckian, my equine work has been nominated for the Eclipse Award for Photography while spending the last 22 years shooting the Triple Crown Campaigns of American Pharoah (2015) and Justify (2018) and the Breeder’s Cup including the legendary Zenyatta (2009 & 2010). My work has been showcased by the Kentucky Derby Museum since 2015 as well. I am available to travel and always do whatever it takes to get the best shots in the best light…no matter what that entails for the story we’re telling. Please contact me to discuss and quote any project that you might be currently working or developing over the coming year as I’m always looking to develop new relationships and outlets for my work.
